Starting ONL162

In my daily work at Karlstad University in Sweden I support teachers in developing their skills in using the digital tools for teaching and learning. To join ONL162 is for me a way to refuel and to get inspiration and input to that daily work.

For 35 years I have carried a saxophone in one hand and a computer in the other. My degree is in music education and I have worked as a music teacher. But I have also worked as a programmer and researcher in user centered design and user experience at the Interactive Institute in Sweden.

Today I am happy and proud to be part of a movement to take teaching and learning further with and without digital tools. Perhaps one of the most important skills for a teacher at any level today is the ability to know when to use digital tools, when to use other tools and means for learning and to know how to integrate these into a meaningful whole for the students.
